About account deletion

You can ask us to delete your OmutiClub account and personal data at any time. There are two ways to make the request — from inside the app, or by email. Once we receive your request, we deactivate your account and anonymize your personal data immediately, and we permanently purge it within thirty (30) days. This page is provided so the deletion method is publicly accessible without needing to sign in.

1.Option A — Delete in the app

1.1 Open the OmutiClub app and sign in.

1.2 Tap Profile, then Settings, then Account, then Delete Account.

1.3 Follow the on-screen steps to confirm. Before deletion completes, the app will prompt you to redeem any units and withdraw any remaining Wallet balance so your money is returned to your nominated bank account.

2.Option B — Request deletion by email

2.1 If you cannot access the app, email support@omuticlub.com from the email address registered to your account, with the subject line "Delete my account".

2.2 We may need to verify your identity before acting on the request. We will confirm to you once deletion is complete.

3.What happens to your data

3.1 On receiving a deletion request we will: (a) close any open Orders and prompt you to redeem Units and withdraw your Wallet balance; (b) deactivate your account and anonymize your personal data immediately; and (c) delete or anonymize your personal data permanently within thirty (30) days.

3.2 Some records must be retained to meet legal obligations under anti-money-laundering, tax and other applicable Ugandan law (for example, KYC documents and transaction records are retained for the periods set out in our Privacy Policy). Such records are kept only for as long as the law requires and are not used for any other purpose.

3.3 Account deletion is permanent. Once your data has been anonymized or purged it cannot be recovered, and you would need to register again to use OmutiClub in the future.
